Chuck Hindes tea bowl made during a trip to Japan to visit Japanese potter Shiho Kanzaki. Made with Kanzaki’s local Mino clay and fired in Japan. Hindes (1942–2021) taught ceramics at the University of Iowa for more than 30 years and was an important figure in American wood fired ceramics.
